Uniservitate<\/h3>\n

UNISERVITATE is a global program that aims to institutionalize service-learning in Catholic higher education institutions. It is an initiative of <\/span>Porticus<\/a> and is coordinated by the Latin American service-learning network (<\/span>CLAYSS<\/a>). ServU: Service-learning in Higher Education for Ukraine’s Recovery<\/h3>\n

1\/11\/2023 – 30\/06\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

ServU (Service-learning in Higher Education for Ukraine\u2019s Recovery<\/em>) is een Erasmus+-project dat Service-learning inzet voor de heropbouw van Oekra\u00efne tijdens en na de oorlog. Het project heeft als doel de samenwerking te bevorderen tussen lokale gemeenschappen en hogeronderwijsinstellingen om (maatschappelijke) uitdagingen aan te pakken. Door Service-learning vakken te ontwikkelen aan Oekra\u00efense universiteiten, worden studenten aangemoedigd hun veerkracht te versterken en een actieve bijdrage te leveren aan hun samenleving. <\/p>\n

ServU wordt geco\u00f6rdineerd door de Ukrainian Catholic University. De andere partners in het project zijn twee Oekra\u00efense universiteiten, Sumy State University en Dnipro University of Technology, en drie Europese universiteiten, Universit\u00e0 LUMSA, Katholische Universit\u00e4t Eichst\u00e4tt-Ingolstadt en KU Leuven. KU Leuven co\u00f6rdineert het werkpakket \u201cService-learning Course Development\u201d dat in februari 2025 van start ging. In februari 2026 organiseert KU Leuven het seminarie \u2018Impact of Service-learning Pedagogy in Wartime and Recovery\u2019<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Service-Learning as a pedagogy to promote Inclusion, Diversity & Digital Empowerment (Erasmus+)<\/h3>\n

The SLIDE project aims to connect the service-learning pedagogy with digital empowerment to strengthen inclusion and diversity. The project brings together students and teachers from different European higher education institutions to exchange knowledge, experience and good practices in and with society. TEFCE & SHEFCE (Erasmus+)<\/h3>\n

2018 – 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Between 2018 and 2021, the Erasmus+ project TEFCE – Towards a European Framework for Community Engagement in Higher Education <\/em>– developed and tested the TEFCE toolbox, an institutional self-assessment tool for higher education institutions to more strongly embed community engagement in their own operations and policies. The successor to this project was the SHEFCE project – Steering Higher Education for Community Engagement<\/em> (2021-2023) – which focused on further embedment of community engagement in European higher education. <\/span><\/p>\n

The UNICORN-project – Connecting student mobility to community engagement \u2013 a UNICORN model for international service-learning in higher education <\/em>(UNIversity COmmunity LeaRNing) aimed to design and test a new international exchange model for students combining an international exchange with a service-learning experience abroad. The project ran from 2019 to 2022. <\/p>\n

Urban Diversities: Challenges for Social Work (Erasmus+)<\/h3>\n

2019 – 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project <\/em>Urban diversities \u2013 challenges for social work<\/em> brought together students, practitioners and teachers of social work around the table with residents of super-diverse metropolitan neighbourhoods to jointly identify and map the complexities and tensions in these contexts, and to jointly explore ways to effectively address these challenges. <\/span>Part of the project was the development of a local Community Service Learning (CSL) trajectory, complemented by a virtual transnational exchange between students from the different partner institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n
